For adwords would you describe your current priority as

1)Finding new words to bid on.
2)Increasing bids to gain higher position
3)lowering bids to increase ROI
4)Writing new ads
5)culling non-performing ads.
6)Testing ROI on content vs. search net. vs. google net
7)other

3)lowering bids to increase ROI

-----
IMO, #3 comes closest to describing my current priority.

Was too quick to raise bids during the holiday season to meet as many mininums as I could. Now it looks like I gave Google a permanent price increase.

Optimized sites & ads thinking the quality CTR fairy (that mysterious human or 'bot) would revisit and be impressed, but haven't seen any effect.

I used to be able to tweak position by making changes of a penny or two on a bid, the new system seems to only be impressed by multiples of 10 cents at best.

Fortunately, it doesn't appear that profits have suffered but since it now takes $300.00 a day to bring the same profit that $100.00 used to yield, It's fair to say ROI suffered though.

I've only seen mininum requested bids for inactives of .10, .20, .30, .40, .50, $1.00, $5.00 & $10.00.
For instance, I've never seen .60 or .25, etc.

Anyone else had a different mininum bid to re-activate (besides higher than my examples)?

Kind of annoying when I'd gotten in the habit of maintaining an all-time average bid of 18 cents (;

8) Finding new products to offer for which I can write new ads.
