Only 6 out of 5000 keywords get clicks - I don't understand

I enjoy using overture its easy to use.. and makes sense to operate.. but adwords is just an utter mystery to me.. ive been using it for 2 years and im still no clearer on it.. things i run into

1. My ads dont show up
2. keywords are active but dont get any impressions or clicks
3. I dont understand their accounting section
4. I dont understand why there is broad, phrases and []

Right now i have a campaign running with 4 groups
$21 a day limit

its only costing me $2 a day.. I have about 5000 keywords running and yet only 6 of those keywords get clicks the rest show no clicks and hardly any impress likeim taking no more than 10 impressions..

I cant find myself anywhere

For the keywords that show impressions, look at your Average Position. if its beyond 6/7, you probably need to increase your bid price.

For the keywords not getting impressions, it could be either that they havent been activated yet by a Google Adwords rep (pending review) or your landing page does not have relevant content related to that keyword. Give your adwords rep a call.
