Are www keywords allowed? Google allowed me to create a campaign and add such keywords, yet they are not showing up on search. Is there a reason?

Example:
www.widget.com
vs.
widget

Google.com doesn't run these, but they do run on the syndication network. Check on AOL, for instance.
