Google won the bidding at $1B and got AOL's search and PPC.

Google now has 55% of the search market. Yahoo = 22%, MSN = 11%, and AskJeeves = 3%.

It's not a done deal:

AOL and Google are in talks about expanding their online ad partnership, and the Internet search giant is also reportedly discussing taking a 5 percent stake in AOL.

Yes, AOL's board will approve the deal next week, but it's a deal.

This makes Google unreachable (with 55%) for a while. The only two other contenders are Yahoo (22% and falling) and MSN (11%). Microsoft can't buy anyone else.

MSN's adCenter is coming and it's very good.
