Just saw two new features
1)Copy or move keywords/Ad text to the new location
2)Separate bidding for content network clicks.

Tried the first one, seems good.

FYI - Moving keywords/ad copy is under the 'tools' feature.

If you move keywords/ads, does the historical data move as well?

If you move an ad, does it need to be approved for syndication again, or is it considered to maintain it's current approved/not reviewed state?

It looks the keywords remain the historic CTR. However, it has been only 7 hours in night without too many impressions/clicks. Will keep updating.

Also saw that you are supposed to be able to change an existing report definition but I only get system error when I try it. I did not notice until today.

Hrmph. I suppose it's a step in the right direction, but you can only copy an ad to a single ad group at this time, so it's actually still faster for me to just type them in myself. Hopefully that will change in the near future.

Why oh why doesn't Google have a 'new changes' section that documents these advancements? So annoying.

You're great things, Google! Tell us about them!

I agree, poster_boy, and I think you will find this changing in the near term. For example, there is already a place online where most such changes are announced. For example, today, the "Copy or move keywords/Ad text to the new location" feature that led off this thread was discussed.

And, many days ago, there was substantial mention of item two mentioned above, the separate bidding for the content network.

And while the WebmasterWorld TOS prevent me from saying more - this resource is absolutely available, and has been for many months.

BTW, I am also working towards making a "recent changes" page happen on the site itself as well. So thanks for your comment poster_boy. I'll quote you! ;)

BTW, I am currently unable to access WebmasterWorld on a regular basis. I have not been able to read or post for the past 30+ hours, for example - so please forgive my lack of response. I hope to have this resolved soon. Lastly, I will most likely not be able to post tomorrow at all, just to set reasonable expectations.

Since this change has been made has anyone noticed if copying and moving keywords retain their CTR history?

Here's hoping it does!

according to the official adwords blog... history is NOT maintained. unfortunately, this makes the tool virtually worthless.

Adwords adviser,

It would improve the copy/move tool if an advertiser could copy/move to a newly created ad group, that can be created during the copy/move dialogs.
