I've been approached by keywordranking dot com to analyze my adwords campaigns and optimize them and optimally manage them on an ongoing basis.

Does anyone have any experience with these people, positive or negative?

One of my clients signed up with them for a while, even though I advised them not to. They quit after six months in disgust. They were charged something like $1500 per month for "optimization" - by the time these people finished with the site, it was not even really readable to the normal eyeball (i.e. it was so heavily and obviously SE optimized as to not be useful to the actual user). They could not optimize for the search terms we wanted, instead they chose lesser terms that were much easier. Some of the text on the site that they rewrote for optimization was absolutely bald faced wrong, because they didn't know our industry (and this was a medical/health related site!) and then the capper was when I found out that they had several of our main competitors as clients as well - their commenting was right there in the source code for the pages, so it was easy to tell. Now, *maybe* they have a way of preventing conflict of interest, but why risk it? Personally, if I'm doing heavy marketing for a particular client, I won't take on another one in the same industry, and I've turned down at least half a dozen because of it.

Anyway, my client fired them after no discernable results, I took all their crap out of the pages and made them readable again, and then read up and did some of my own optimization, to mostly good results. There's still some room for improvement, but I'm not going to be hiring any companies, that's for sure.
