Any affiliate advertisers find a solution to the $100 CPC problem?

Problem... I call it more of an exploit that needs to be fixed asap...

I'm still struggling to compete with the same person on *every* keyword. No matter what my ad says or pays (even $100), I am never shown do to this affiliate with a higher quality score.

Any suggestions or strategies would be appreciated. As far as I can tell, it is impossible to outrank the first person who bids $100.

Delete the ad and recreate it in an old adgroup which a) is on the same topic and b) contain[ed/s] ads with established CTRs.

Keep bidding $100. Even if you are not able to out bid your competitor, atleast you're making him pay a really high amount for each click.

Keep bidding anyway. Sooner or later Google are going to screw up the credit card processing.
