Today I recieved an email from Adwords. It starts -

Over the past several months, we have given a small number of advertisers the ability to run ads with longer descriptions (longer ad text) -- up to 200 characters long -- on the Google Network. We have received great results from users and advertisers on this new feature and we would like to invite you to participate in the next phase of this test. Not only will you help us test a new feature, but you could also gain higher conversion rates with your longer ads.

Is this genuine?

I canot see any other posts on here about it.

Where would these ad's get shown?

I have never seen them on search results, or context ad's on sites.

Well I was asked to join before, I submitted an ad, and never heard anything or saw any stats in my campaign about it. Now I got another invite this week, inviting me to expand on the test - I never saw where my *original* ad was running, or even that it was. So I'm confused. But I'll probably give it a try - again.
