I was just told that we are raising our budget for adwords from $1500 a month to $200,000 a year... and our $1500 a month budget on Yahoo search also to $200,000

For a total of $400,000 a year. Holy crap thats a huge increase...

Anyway, that makes my life a bit more difficult as I manage my current 2 smaller accts... In addition to a million other things. Is there a way to get a dedicated person at Google to help me set this all up, I would think thats a pretty nice amount of money relatively speaking.

Any suggestions on how I can begin to think about managing this beast?

While Google's jumpstart program is designed for new advertisers only, they do have an internal optimization team that sometimes work on accounts.

I would suggest writing to Google or call your rep, and ask them if they could help you with a campaign optimization for your new goals.

I wouldn't leave it all up to Google to spend your money, however. If they decide to offer assistance, it's in your best interest to help set up or give suggestions for ads, keywords, account structure, split testing, etc.

u4eas, I completely agree with eWhisper on both his points.

As regards the second point, like eWhisper I think it is really important that you stay actively involved with the account.

I'm all-too-familiar with the situation of having lots to do, and not enough time to do it in - but maybe it would be possible to devote a short time each day to coming up to speed with the nuances of AdWords.

One of my favorite resources for doing this incremental learning is the AdWords Learning Center, where you'll find a ton of short multimedia tutorials, each of which runs between 2 and 10 minutes or so (or you can just view a text-only version too.) You'll find it right here:

I wish you the best of success with your big jump in responsibility!
