First posting any site ever. hi and respects to all. Here's my query/problem: I'm in a highly specialized, yet highly competitive field, so there may not be that many clicks, but me and my competitors are willing to pay crazy amounts (like $7 sometimes) per click. One prob that only JUST came to me, after studying Google Adwords for weeks is this: Because their system is almost-intentionally very hard to figure your "Current Position" (yes, you can do averages, etc, with a "daily" reporting range--but that's not good enough), what you END UP DOING often is: checking positions YOURSELF, or having your software do it in autoruns. THE PROB, as I see it, is this: With all those checks, since you're only checking position and NOT clicking on your own ad (God forbid), what happens? ---> Your CTR (clicks / impressions as %) goes DOWN! Right? And if your CTR goes down, your "quality score" also suffers. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME I'M WRONG and why? Thanks. :) I think maybe if we could "opt in" to an IP tracking system, where our OWN "live" checks for positions on our own terms are NOT counted toward impressions. Wouldn't that be cool? Cuz imagine you're running a program set to auto-run, checking for positions every 15 mins. Yikes, right? Your help and insights.
