Hi, can someone answer something for me please?

I have been trying to promotes sites from an affiliate network, and I just read someone say that you can send visitors directly to the merchant with your affiliate link, and I just don't understand how you do that if the display and destination urls have to be the same, because many merchants urls of course contain their name it google will say you can't display it because it's copyrighted! So how can you be their affiliate with adwords? Can you not really direct send clicks to their site?

Okay, so basically:

1. Can you send clicks directly to the merchant you are an affiliate of?

and

2. If so, how do you do that if you can't display their url because of copyright, and apparently the display and destination urls have to be the same(same domain at least)

So how do you do it, how do you promote affiliate network sites with Adwords? Do you send clicks directly to merchant, if so can you explain how?
Or if you do it a different way, can you explain how to do that? Thanks for any info!

Ignoring for a second the copyright issue, you certainly can send traffic direct to the merchant. Your display url does not have to be the same as your destination url, but the domain where the visitor finally ends up has to be the same domain. eg

display url: www.merchant.com
destination: xyzryr.com (redirects to merchant.com)

However, if the merchant dont want affiliates to use their trademark then you cant do it, you will need to use your own domain to promote the product.
