I am just trying to get my head around how adwords awards QS for particular ads.
Last night.. i pretty much overhauled all my ads in a particualr campaign and as you would probably guess google has appeared to have dropped my QS back to nothing and am getting a quarter of the CTR. Note that not a great deal has changed with my ad text, mostly i just tagged the url with a get var for tracking.
Anyway.. when i origionally set up my ads (about 3 weeks ago) i ramped up the minimum CPC for my ads slightly and after a few days i found i was reaching my daily max by midday. So I brought the CPC back down and managed to maintain a similar response.
My conclusion is that temporarily increasing your min CPC in the beginning of your campaign can help improve your QS by bringing up your CTR and number of Impr.
Does anyone agree with this?
