Conversions report doesn't add up?

Single conversions add up more than total?

I recently started using the conversion code on adwords on several areas of my site,

Registrations
Postings
Sign Ups

The conversion report shows the total conversions as 71 but when i add up each individual conversion.. it is 103?

Why does the report not add them all up to 103?
Does it count one person as one conversion even if they do several things - sign up, post, register.. etc?

Adwords will only count conversions that occur because of someone clicking on an ad. Does your total include people who came to your site by other means?

Are you counting transactions and conversions in these reports?

I would run a custom report with all the conversion, transaction, etc boxes checked to see all of that conversion data for the account and see if the numbers are closer.

Conversions are actions that take place on the initial visit. Transactions are actions that took place on the initial and subsequent visits (i.e. if I came to your site today, didn't do anything, but came back tomorrow and preformed an action - I would be considered a transaction - not a conversion by the AdWords system.)
