What is the max name length for an adgroup?

Max length is 255, I renamed my adgroup to have 300 letters and it showed only the first 255 characters.

What is the max name length for an adgroup?

Amazingly, in my three years with AdWords this is the first time I've ever heard the question asked!

And, I didn't even know the number myself - since it's never come up. ;)
