Why got my popular keywords put on hold?

So as the title says Google put some of my keywords to on hold position. This happened to me many times and I somewhat understand when they put on hold keyphrases like : "<keyword removed>"

But recently I found some popular keywords to put on hold. For example Google put the keyword “<keyword removed>” with 72300 searches on hold from the first second I listed it? It did not even receive any impressions or searches at all.

Can somebody explain this to me please. Thank you Laszlo.

Google usually keeps sometime few keywords "On Hold" & "In Trial mode". I guess it might be on trial mode, you should wait up to the trial period.

i had this one day last week.
one of my biggest earning kw's was disabled and i contacted adwords support about it. they said it was maybe going to change back soon (not really an answer)and i should wait and give it more time.
I deleted the kw, and then re-submitted it again, and it has been back there ever since without any problems.

maybe give that a go to see if it works.

Don't be too worried if a keyword goes in trial or on hold, as the system is changing soon.

It was a little fustrating when google put my good keywords on hold without entering into any search competition with the other keywords. I don't mind the low search wolume keyphrases, but there were some valuable keywords too.

It seems google still works on misterious ways.
