Links to your website must allow users to return to the Google search results page or ad network by clicking once on the browser's Back button.
From the learning center:
Back Button: After linking to your website, the back button must work properly and return the users to the page on which the AdWords ad is located, within one or two clicks.
I suppose the learning center has the newest text. This would be a huge improvement! Can AWA confirm please?

Hi HitProf - sorry to disappoint, but no, there has not been a change. I do think a clarification is in order, however.
Policy allows us to approve ads if we are able to get back to Google in one click, or with a quick double-click of the mouse.
A single click is to be preferred, of course, but a quick double-click will usually be approvable. In any case, nothing has changed at all with this policy: same as it ever was.
Thanks for pointing out this lack of clarity, and I'm already working with the right team to make it unambiguous.

I've had links disapporoved in the past for links to framed pages which work the way you discribe (a quick double click will bring you back to Google). Now I rang Google (yes! I finally can phone support!) for another client with the same sort of problem and got it approved. "Now that we're talking - can you take look at the other account as well?" - got that one approved too so I can finally link to the correct page after a year or so...
Thanks AWA, for pointing this out!
However, I got an ad approved two weeks ago that used a frames landingpage, which caused a double backbutton click as well. I tested it myself in Firefox, and it worked so I stated it did, Dublin tested it again and concluded it worked as well. But in reality, in IE, it still didn't work (Firefox works around the frames backbutton problem itself apparently), so I guess they used firefox as well...
So we started to work on workarounds for IE, which now suddenly seems obsolete... Too bad the Dutchie Google office doesn't seem to know this.
Oh well, Overture has the one click back button rule too, so it has to be fixed anyway ;)
