Okay so I go to try out some more text ads. I use the word "target" as a verb but of course it comes up as a trademarked term. I am thinking about trying to trademark the term "reach" "visit" "free" you know, other commonly used adjetives and verbs.

Now here is the picky part, go to this URL:
[adwords.google.com...]

Under the acceptable phrases they list the word "Target" in their ad. So no I am not hopping mad, just find it midly annoying.

I've had "Pick" flagged because it 'could' be associated with gambling. Also, the word "free" does actually get flagged, or at least it used to.

You have nothing to worry about though if you're using the terms honestly. Just explain this in the exception.

I had the same problem with "Competitors can't beat it!"

Looks like google has reserved "beat it" exclusivly for some entertainer called Micheal Jacson. :-P

I just asked for the exception and got it. No big deal I guess. It came fairly quickly.
