Can Google still track with PayPal?

A friend of mine is asking me to setup Google Adwords for him along with their free tracking. The problem is that he has the Paypal payment method running on his site. I can add the code to his reciept page, but will Google's cookie be able to track the buyer through Paypal's secure site?

Bottom line...can Google track sales from sites having payments made through paypal?

The answer is yes. The tracking code will work on any page.

The things to keep in mind are:

1. Make sure the code isn't shown on a page before the receipt page, or it will count a false conversion.
   
2. There are two versions of the tracking code, one for http and one for https. If you use the wrong version the user will get a warning message about displaying both secure and non-secure items.
