How to get more impressions

I'm trying some test ads and can't seem to drum up any impressions. I've got a $1k daily budget for fairly popular kw phrases. I've got one ad per phrase, each with a 1k budget and so far I've received no impressions after 3 days. They are listed as active and there are no mentions of poor performing terms. What am I doing wrong?

check your max ppc, maybe too low for popular kw?

do you check the correct date range? (try all-time)

add a second ad, perhaps it's flagged for some reason
