Has anyone here reported on success with the Jumpstart program? Logically, it seems like the way to go when starting with AdWords, however I'd like to hear some first hand experiences. I'm about to launch my AdWords campaign, and would like to minimize the "learning curve" as much as possible.
Welcome to WebmasterWorld ce233!
I noticed that this question had gone unanswered for quite some time, and thought I'd jump with some basic information. In the interest of full disclosure, though, since I see that you are fairly new to the Forum, I should say that I work at AdWords. So let's hope that others jump in with their actual experiences. ;)
Anyway, here are a few headlines about the Jumpstart program, which are worth keeping in mind:
* There is a fee involved, but 100% of that fee is then applied as a credit to the account - to be applied towards future clicks that your ads will receive. So, the program is essentially free.
* Jumpstart is designed for new advertisers only, meaning those who do not yet have an AdWords account.
* The intent of Jumpstart is to get new advertisers started on the right foot, and to provide them with a very basic account - set up in line with their needs as defined in early communications with the Jumpstart team.
* It's important to know, though, that the advertiser will still need to know and understand how the AdWords program works, since it'll be their job to manage and 'grow' the account once it's activated. The jumpstart accounts are not managed by Google.

One of our moderators, eWhisper, had a great search tip a while ago: a good way to search for this sort of thing would be go to your favorite search engine (cough!) and search in this format: forum81 adwords jumpstart
This should give you a good starting point at least, in terms of past posts on the subject.
I wish you every success if you should decide to give AdWords a try, regardless of what route you take as you begin.
