I've been through the adwords tutorials and I have 2 campaigns with Adwords. But I still haven't learned how a person actually makes money from Adwords. Any help or direction would be appreciated. Thanks...

you can make money by advertising your own product if you have one, or you can join an affiliate company like CJ or Linkshare advertise their products and get paid commissions.

AdWords is advertising. Affiliate marketing is advertising. You spend money on AdWords to direct traffic to either your web site, or an e-commerce merchant's site. If you're an affiliate, you make your money based (usually) on the sales from the visitors you've sent to the e-commerce merchant (either directly from the ads or from your site).
