Yesterday I had over 6000 impressions and today it has dropped to about 600. Why? What can I do?

Increase your bids, increase your budget?

Could be many reasons really...

But if I have not changed anything and my avg position has not changed why would this happen

You may have to wait until tomorrow to have GG fully update the stats. If you are looking at today's stats then keep in mind that they can be delayed for several hours.

TylerSpace, I'd agree with sem4u that this could be due to many causes, and perhaps the best way to get an answer particular to your account is to contact AdWords support.

That said, the most common reason for big impression drops is that the advertiser has made an edit to the ad(s). Any edit to the ad copy, regardless of how 'small' it is, will mean that the ads will need to be reviewed/approved before running on the search and/or content networks.

Since this means that your ads are running on Google alone, and not Google plus potentially hundreds of other places, ones impressions can certainly go down substantially.

I know that you did mention that you'd made no changes. And if that's so, then I'm at a loss to explain, since I can't see the account. Which is where AdWords support can assist.
