I just have some questions below that maybe you guys can help me with
"You have several choices. When you said you are an affiliate I assume you mean that you act as a channel for selling the products of a manufacturer, with whom you have a representative or reseller arrangement. I assume you run the "pre-sell" site, which then links to the manufacturer's "purchase" page, with a parameter to identify you as the affliate. Let us know if my assumtions are not correct. Assuming they are, here are your choices:
1. Get the AdWords conversion code added to the manufacturer's "Thank you for purchasing" page. This will be easy if this "thank you" page actually redirects the customer back to your site.
2. Include "&keyword={keyword}" in your AdWords landing pages. Then have the page remember the keyword in a database or cookie, and associate it somehow with something to identify the potential customer. Then merge the reports you get back from the manufacturer with your own database. "
I already got one of my clickbank affiliates to agree with placing the code at his landing page. My question is with point number two... Should I place Exactly "&keyword={keyword}" and in where (I know nothing about HTML) and how could I associate it with something to identig the potential customer?
If you guys knew how, could you please explain it to me, I feel a little like sesame street with this stuff right now :)

The important point is what exactly is a conversion? Some advertisers, especially one that sell lower-priced items, count a conversion when something is actually sold. Advertisers who sell higher-priced items and deal in purchase orders consider that a conversion has happened when a sales lead is created, that is, when contact information is received from the potential customer. There may be other kinds of conversions, but someone else will have to tell us what they are.
So, when you say that you got your associate to place the code at his "landing page", what kind of page is that? Whenever this page is shown to the user, it will count as a conversion, so showing that page has to be the result of something good happening.
