Google Keyword Sandbox at
[adwords.google.com...]
is not reachable - gives an 403 HTTP (forbidden) error.

Anybody experiencing the same problem? Already seen this?

Sandbox is vital for our keyword research ...

Now it's working irregularly - mostly 403, some successful.

Strange behavior.

If it is still not working, try deleting your cookies and start a fresh browser.

mike_ppc, already tried - no way.

Same thing for Explorer and Firefox, cookies deleted, and AdWords account logged in/out ...

No one else seeing 403 error?

deus, I'll look this, but I wonder it may have something to do with volume?

Typically, how many times do you hit that URL daily? And is this done "manually", or in an automated way?

Hi AWA, prior to our AdWords campaigns we do extended keyword analysis - extended in manual sense (we never do it automatically). Maybe we come up with 100-200 requests on single days, and about 500-1000 per month.

We would appreciate it very much if this wouldn't raise any problem - I'm sure you well know how essential a careful keyword selection is.

It is also my impression, however, that it might be a kind of volume problem - maybe enhanced general traffic to the sandbox from central europe in the local afternoon hours. Tool works fine now in the morning.

yes. we search for more than 100 times a day (manually) and it begins to show 403 errors. we refresh it several times and it 'may' show us the results.

A mail to google gives us answer about traffic estimator (wrote to them again)

think too many pings are creating this problem. may be the tool should be changed to a monthly fee or some kind of pay tool.

Again, tool is quite unusable. First 20 requests okay, then some successful requests after several reloads, now left with 403 messages.

AWA, could you get some information on that issue?

deus, I'm sorry to have been slow in getting more info. Two factors are behind the delay. Firstly I have been especially busy of late, since I was silly enough to take a day off recently. And secondly, the Expert Source I'd ordinarily consult on this subject is traveling, and is difficult to catch.

I'll do my best, though, to get more info soon.

That said, it may be a better tack to contact AdWords Support with a brief but thorough summary. They're able to see your actual account, of course, and can also escalate to the tech team if they're not able to answer your question based on their review.
