Advertising Professionals question

I have been using Adwords for about a year and making a healthy profit. I do it just for myself and am wondering if I should become an Advertising Professional and take the test.

Can someone explain what all is involved?

It won't hurt to have the certification. You get some promotional credits when signining up new accounts. It's $50.00, 90 minutes, about 100 questions and not very difficult if you've been in the AdWords world for a while.

It still may be necessary to go through the tutorials in the learning center [google.com] because there may be a lot of new stuff in there that isn't used on a daily basis but is on the test.

If I take the test and fail what happens? Can I retake it? If so, how soon? Thanks

How many questions? Multiple choice? What percentage do you need to get right? If you passs do you need to retest at anytime to stay current or is it good for life? Any special benefits? Thanks again.

You need to have 75% right if I remember well and it's good for 1 year. The credits are only for US based QGAPS. Other benefits: only if you work for clients: you can show them the QGAP Logo.

So after a year you do the same thing to keep your QGAP?

What I don't like is that it is not related to a person, but to an account. If I leave my employer I might very well lose the certification!
