Anyway per frequent requests heard on this Forum, I wanted to give all you advance notice that this Friday, 5/20, the AdWords system will be unavailable from roughly 9 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. PDT (US), for system maintenance.
A UI message will also appear in your accounts before too long.
And as always, you have our apology for any inconvenience that this'll cause. I do hope, though, that the early notice will allow you to plan accordingly.
OK. Now I'm going to skate dangerously close to promotion (heheh) and mention that this announcement (and other similar announcements in the future) will also appear on the (new!) AdWords blog, "Inside AdWords".
I'm not going to drop the URL though. ;)
Still, you'll find it easily enough, if you go to a well known search engine and search on keywords such as 'adwords info', and look to the right. ;)

I can't find the blog in europe. I think that given the relevance to this forum no-one will object to URL dropping so can you please tell us the URL?

Great question, benevolent001! And I'm learning a real-time lesson in clarity.
Please be assured that AdWords will be running, absolutely as normal, during this time. It is just that advertiser access will be interrupted for a short period.
So, no, there is no need to pause.
To further clarify:
Ads will appear as normal, and stats will still be accrued as normal. You just won't be able to get into your account for the period of the maintenance.

These ads or links are not visible in the UK, I have been busy clicking peoples ads, I'm sure they are not going to be very pleased.

One that reads there could misunderstand :

I understand they are at the beginning, but they're doing themselves a big disadvantage (just think how many advertisers will pause their campaigns!).
That is one of the moments when I truly appreciate this forum and AWA's presence (no flattery intended)!
I guess the person who set it up won't have noticed due to their cache of the image.
I'd suggest copying the image to a non https location and changing the source of the pic.
P.S. Any Google goodies wouldn't go amiss for this earth shattering suggestion ;)
