Multiple Ads in Ad Group

Hello,

I'm an adwords newbie. I just created multiple ads in an "ad group" targetting different keywords. I did a search on Google for one of my keywords - let's say 'Blue Widgets' but for some reasons it is showing the ad i created for 'Silver Widgets'. I also disabled Automated Ad Optimizing feature but still nothing.

Is there any way i can link a set of keywords to a particular "text ad" in an "ad group"? or is creating multiple ad groups the only solution?

To my knowledge, no. You have to put them in different adgroups. The Ad Optimizind feature is another thing.
So, to make sure that for a list of KWs you have a particular text ad, you must put them in a separate adgroup.
You usually use different Text Ads to see which provides you a better CTR.
