Is this a feature or a bug?
In the first instance, I got the message:
"widget" may violate our 'No Repetition' standard when the word was used twice in a row. In this case, it was a place name that has to read this way to be correct.
Yesterday, I tried to include a man's name in the headline:
"mans last name" may be offensive to some of our users.
Again, no option except to adjust the ad or cancel.
By a stretch, the man's last name could be taken as a foul slang word (poor guy!)
In the most recent example, I created the ad putting the man's middle and last name together which looks foolish, but it no longer offensive to Google.
I notice though the ad is not showing. If it is flagged for manual review and is approved, it will show with the two names together which looks foolish.
The earlier ad with the word repetition is showing now, but the words are seperated (by me) with a comma which is also foolish and unneccessary.
Is this happening to anyone else?
