Wanted to see what people think?

Using Adwords API to remove and readd disabled keywords automatically.

Any experience that this is idea won't work? maybe there are issues with this approach?

Using Adwords API to remove and readd disabled keywords automatically.

I am not an API expert, so can't speak to the 'do-ability' of this, tsinoy.

However, generally speaking, simply deleting and then reusing disabled keywords in the same way, without putting them in a new Ad Group with carefully targeted ad text, will just result in them being disabled again very quickly.

While it is definitely possible to delete and readd keywords through the API, AWA is right. These get disabled almost immediately. In fact even the history of the clicks and impressions is still maintained in these cases.

Hi,

thanks for the quick response...

I was actually thinking in terms of having a list of different carefully crafted creatives in my database that my program will go through. So that I can try different approaches.

And the process would be:
1. check the keyword if it becomes disabled.
2. delete the disabled keyword and remove the adgroup (if adgroup is already empty).
3. add a new adgroup with a new creative from my database and of course the keyword.
4. then go back to step 1.

This will probably run daily so that I don't use up a lot of my transaction quota, actually, I have a high quota so if I ran this every hour I still won't reach my quota by the end of the month.
