exact and phrase matching disables content network?

I've been experimenting with exact matching all of my keywords and then phrase matching all of my keywords. In both instances I get no impressions from the content network even though it is enabled for the campaign. Does everyone else get the same thing?

Usually it takes 1-2 weeks until your ads are displayed on the Search and Content Networks.
My guess is that you will have lots of impressions!

Wow, I've noticed new keywords don't get many search impressions for a day or two, but I didn't know the content network takes a week or two to kick in.

OK, you could get lucky and get approved in 2-3 days.
The clicks you see in Search are coming from Google itself, where keywords could appear instantly. Only for networks it takes some time.
