Google Ads Technical Support

For me, all paths lead to a dead end

Has anyone got any solution that can help me reach out *directly* to tech support for Google Ads?

I know this great service at the old 866-246-6453 service has been discontinued.

The voicemail there says "Sorry, we're not able to offer support at this time"

However, going through their google.com/ads/help options, all paths there lead to a dead end.

Even when I am able to speak to an actual "rep", they transfer me to this dead-end phone number.

EVEN AFTER I politely instruct them that the LAST customer service rep directed me to this dead-end phone number, they insist, OH, NOW I CAN HELP YOU" and they put me through to the same dead-end option.

Other dead end options include something that doesn't seem to be quite ready for prime time called "Line.me".

Looks like they are only servicing accounts in Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan. I'm in the US.

There is a clear overcharge on my account and I want it rectified TODAY and I will not go through providing them with bank statements, etc.

In the past, this kind of thing would have been rectified with a simple phone call.

Anyone got any solutions or suggestions?

You need somehow to get on the books with Google ads support.
I have a rep that I can email at repsname@google.com, they are pretty responsive.

Seems to me anyone inside Google doesn't feel very trust-able.

Some of their new PAID offerings are absolutely failing to meet what they claim.

Numerous complaints to the rep that instructed me on how to set this up have resulted in nothing but silly cut-and-paste links to inane support pages.

I request a refund on obviously invalid traffic. They send a nice link.

I show again and again detailed evidence supporting my claim. They ask me to send screenshots.

I ask for my case to be escalated. I was told that was impossible.

I tried again - they requested logfiles. I thought we were gettting somewhere. They then made the most basic error anyone can make in interpreting log files, which of course supported their case and prevented any real resolution. Never once did they acknowledge they were reading the logs wrong.

I ask to speak with a manager or supervisor. I was told there was nobody.

Some of these people and links actually referred me to "Technical Support" and we all know that was a complete setup to an awful dead-end.

The third or fourth time they tried to do this I said "OK, please stay on the line to make sure we get this resolved" and of course, there was none of that.

Never once - recently - have I had anything resembling an intelligent reply from Google Ads.

Sure, they'll tell you how to "get more traffic" - but good luck to you if you try to make it clear that you want to be able to have "quality" traffic. Good luck if you have evidence of that lack of quality.

Is this different in other countries? Here in the USA, it is pretty much standard-operating-procedure.

Hmmm... Is the Google monopoly starting to loose its shine?

I'm wondering if we should be expecting subpoenas and suits as the word of these other cases, and recent articles, and (successful?) legal action in other countries starts to settle in.
