We find Spanish language conversions to be so low as to not be worthwhile.

Lots of tire kickers and questions but no conversions.

This is not the case with other the other 3 main languages we market to.

A lot would depend in the particular market you are in.

Yes, it definitely depends on the market. In my case the Spanish campaign works 3 times better than my English one. Very few competition, all my words are on the first page, 5-6% CTR and almost 50% conversion, with no competitors clicking on my ads (what a relief!), all genuine visitors. I don't sell any product though, I just need signups.

Spanish conversions are lower than in the rest of the world (selling software) for us but competition is lower as well so that compensates for the lower conversions.

I have a dating site. Not exactly porn, but smth close ;) I even had to slow down my Spanish campaign (lower my daily budget) as at some point Spanish registrations started outweighing English ones.

Go for it, Javier, since competition is low, you really don't have to bet more than 5 cents. My only competitors are the big Spanish portals like terra.com, and those probably bet 6 cents lol.

If it doesn't work out, at least you don't loose too much money. And what's important, since you speak Spanish, you know the RIGHT keywords and your ad will sound natural. I saw a lot of Spanish ads that were probably translated by online translators, the keywords chosen were generated by *something* and were definitely not what la gente normal uses, so the ads sounded pathetic. lol

ĦĦSaludos y buena suerte! :)
