The summary of a Mozilla detailed analysis of Google’s FLoC privacy.
Note: includes links to analysis details and to similar ‘Privacy Preserving Advertising’ in development.

Privacy analysis of FLoC [blog.mozilla.org], 10-June-2021.

FLoC is premised on a compelling idea: enable ad targeting without exposing users to risk. But the current design has a number of privacy properties that could create significant risks if it were to be widely deployed in its current form.

It is fascinating watching the various online ad networks and organisations try to wrap tracking and identification in a privacy veil... what is it that stage illusionists do? Ah right, misdirection.

However, it does reveal intriguing bits and pieces for those interested.
