For stat analysis purposes I need to download csv data that includes EVERY DAY in the month, regardless of whether I've spend money on that day or not.

It seems like when I download the file, it leaves out zero spend days.

Anyone know if it is possible to get it to include days for which I did not spend on ads?

The "lowest" level of detail is impressions. Try those in your report. If they are not there then there is no data.

The problem is that when the campaign is turned off, the reporting simply leaves out the dates from the report/csv. Which isn't satisfactory and makes it necessary to hand edit the data file to re-insert those dates and enter zeros in the fields. The fact that there are days with zero impressions when the campaign is turned off doesn't mean there is "no data". It means the data fields should contain zeros.

What they are doing, unfortunately, is making it extremely hard to analyse the data. I'm sure it's not intentional, but it's a major nuisance.

I think you need to automate the fixing of your input file. When the data is not in the Adwords db it is not going to report it. Seems easy to fix in excel.
