Okay, i have been marketing with google for 3 years now.

I stopped in the middle of last year, and started again today.

I am very familar with google adwords. Usually takes 30 or so mintues for me to start seeing clicks on my site.

I submitted my site 2 years ago, added all of the links, however no clicks.

I usually average around 900 clicks a day, at $500.00. I haven't gotten a click yet in the last 2 hours, but my ad IS showing, becuase I did my own search.

My budget is $1,000 above what it is recommend.

I have content and web search on.

However, just no clicks on my site.

I am hardley getting any impressions either.

You're not alone. It seems not many people are searching for things these few days.

Perhaps it is the start of summer & Easter holidays.

I've got some very good positions for many keywords but impressions and clicks are way, way down.

Just hang in there :)

it's one thing to get 200-300 clicks a day and you average 900 per day, and I am using the exact same setup.

However, I have all of 1 click in the last 2 hours...

...I stopped in the middle of last year, and started again today...

Wtrufaunt, if I've read you correctly, you're referring to an AdWords campaign that has been dormant for well above 6 months, and which has just been restarted today, exactly as it was in the middle of 2004. Is that basically correct?

If so, I think you may have a lot more competition that you did last year, and you may want to pay special attention to your Average Position, especially for your most important keywords. May be time to make some adjustments to make sure you are where you want to be on the page.

On the other hand, if you've made any editorial changes to your ads or URLs, then they will be showing on Google alone until they can be reviewed and approved. This can have a big impact on one's impressions.

Lastly, when one is getting even a few hundred impressions but very few clicks, I'd start looking at the targeting between the keywords and the ads - and also at the ad copy itself. In particular are your ads up to par with (or, hopefully, superior to) your competitors?

To over-simply, when I hear of a fair number of impressions and very few clicks, my first thought is that users are not seeing what the expected to see, or what they were looking for. Or, that they're seeing ads that simply don't appeal to them for some other reason. Figuring out those reasons is key, and experimenting with alternate ad copy may be a good tool in an effort to do so.

Just a few thoughts, off the top of my head. If this trend continues, and also continues to make no sense, I'd recommend having AdWords support take a look at the account itself - to see if they can offer some insight.

wtrufaunt, not to state the obvious, but have you waited a few hours for Google to get up to speed with the reporting?
