I have had a campaign running for "Last Minute Widgets" for about 2 months now.
All of a sudden all my ADs got stopped for the reason that "Last Minute" is Trademarked?
I dont know about the rest of you but I find this completely ridiculous. This is a way to describe a product we have at a certain status letting the customer know that if they need widgets at the "Last Minute" we have the cheapest widgets around. I class this as a general term for the industry I am in and wonder if Google is being a little too cautious.
I wonder if I trademarked "Special Offer" would they stop all AD's containing my trademark?
Not a Happy Chappy!

Delegate, I'm not really sure what is going on in this particular instance, and am not able to research it, as it is rather late. Speaking in general, however, when a trademark owner 'complains' and asks Google to take a particular action, there is a moment in which that request is implemented.
And of course things will be different 'before' and 'after' that implementation.
With that said, in this case - and in any case - in which you feel your ads have been disapproved in error, I'd advise responding to the email you received, detailing why you feel an error was made, and asking that the ad be re-reviewed in light of your new information.
We have certainly made errors in the past, and always try to make it right. And we may have made an error here, in which case you'll have our apology. Or perhaps a new trademark owner request was recently implemented.
AWA
I have sent a request for the ADs to be reviewed again and hopefully they will see sense in this matter.
Trademark policy I agree with fully but 2 words describing your product to the best of your ability should not be penalised unless it is directly intended to infringe the laws.
If it remains to be penalised I wonder were it will stop.
Maybe I will register "Free" as my Trademark and see how much Havoc it causes!
:)
