So can AWA or anyone else confirm that the max campaign limit is still 25? (Or has G FINALLY raised that? I say finally b/c in so many ways they are making Adsense more friendly - more channels, new payment options... More campaigns in Adwords will be greatly appreciated)

DingoNY, the maximum number of campaigns within an account still stands at 25. If an advertiser has a compelling reason for requiring more, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis.
I have to say, though, that exceptions are pretty few and far between. In the majority of accounts for which exceptions are requested, we find that many campaigns can be opened up by re-organizing the account structure, and making more substantial use of Ad Groups within existing campaigns.
Just as a refresher, campaigns are usually required when one needs to separate advertisements according to the settings that are made at the campaign level of one's account, which are:
* Daily budget
* End Date
* Country and Language Targeting
* Partner network selection
I do know there are other reasons to do so, of course. So, if you have a compelling requirement for more than 25 campaigns, please write AdWords support from within that account, and let them know what those reasons are. Your request and account will be reviewed, and the team will get back to you with a response as quickly as possible.

25 would be max number of campaigns, no matter what status they have? I know a situation where there are more than 25 campaigns, but only 25 active (the rest are paused).
The good thing is that you can pause an active one and and activate a paused one.
You can have unlimited (sure there is some cap, but I've never seen it) deleted and paused campaigns.
