Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, but I'm a long time reader.

I came accross an unusual problem today which I'm unsure how to remedy.

If I do a search in Internet Explorer, I only see 2 adwords ads - no matter what the search was.

If I do the same search in Firefox, I see the usual number of ads down the right hand side. This has only just happened.

Has AWA or anyone else ever heard of this, or do you know how to fix it?

Thanks and all the best

Check the URLs of the ads you are seeing in IE to see if they run through google.

It could be you have a toolbar/spyware installed that is overwriting part of the page or ad blocker software which is supressing part of the page from displaying.

I'd start by running a spyware checker through your machine.

Thanks for the replies.

I have just noticed that I have a hijack on this PC too. It sounds like the two problems could be related.

Will post if scanning and removing the hijack fixes the problem.

Interesting.

I've so far run Adaware, Spybot and CleanMyPC Reg Cleaner and still seeing the 2 ads.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what else I could try to remove this?

At the end of the day, I can just use FireFox to view the competition's ads I guess.
