Seriously google, would really rather not have your "account reps" going through our accounts looking for "issues" that they would really like to see "fixed up right away". Emailing, stalker calling (just had 4 calls in 10 minutes plus 2 emails), got to be a way to make this stop... short of closing the account and let me tell you that option is on the table.

</ end rant>

The Adwords account rep performance is measured by how many new "features" they get you to try. New features are ALWAYS designed to increase ad spend by increasing CTR and increasing competition in the auction. I would say every 3rd rep I get has useful information to share. I've got a rep now that will hound me, but then when we come up with some actionable items, she has zero follow through. The reasons are... 1) She has no clue about the system she is pitching and 2) I'm not fully embracing the new features she needs to get a good performance review/compensation.

Personally, I find the state of Adwords now-a-days to be incredibly frustrating. The difference between burning money in huge piles and eeking out a small profit is measured in millimeters. I used to be able to crank up my spend when I found profitable group of keywords and my profits would increase. Now-a-days, increasing spend on profitable keyword groups results in immediate negative returns. The Adwords system has been algorithmically tuned to extract the maximum amount of money and there is no margin for error.

Could not agree more, always the same spiel, more more more, with zero understanding of the advertiser's needs or real world outside of google.

I do miss the good old days when adwords was an actual auction. Nowadays with all the algo input into cpc pricing and the volume of google owned/backed/financed entities advertising, it's hard not to feel like the normal business is simply getting squeezed by google. They truly do have and eat their cake.

I would like to share my experience from having relations with more than 4 reps already in over 5 years od AdWords managing over 10k/mo

Most of them are OK. Some are great. I don't see ho they can do you harm by simply informing and giving advice ...
