Use a tracking/ROI script, they can track every click and also every sale.

a search on Google for "ROI Tracking" or "PPC tracking" should give you some ideas.

essential that you use 1 of these to monitor your adspend correctly.

You can do what you like with AdWords. I have it point to a cgi file:

www.mysite.com/cgi-bin/track.cgi?source=GoogleAdWords&page=thepageIwant.html

The cgi file can track (and log) the users source or store a cookie and either display the page itself or redirect to it.
