Hi,

I have 2 queries and it seems to be confusing me since days.

1. When I am setting up an adwords account, say for US market but I am situated in India, So which kind of currency I should select when creating account? Will it affect the keywords selection criteria if different currency is selected? Will the bidding procedure will be hampered and in respect to that the ad creation also?

2. Tine Zone: How far it affects in respect to Q.No.1 itself. So I am in India handling US region website; So what and how it affects my PPC campaign?

I am being bombarded with many answers but opting this forum for the best possible solutions.

Thanks :)

Currency is just for billing, no link to keywords or ad creation.

Time zone let's you set things based on time zone that's easier for you, like the start of a sale at 8am eastern time in New York. But it's all relative, use the time zone setting you're most comfortable using. If this is for a client, for example, use their local time, in case they're not on India time (in their heads). Once you set the time zone, it cannot be changed. We usually set it to the main local time of areas we're targeting (we try and think locally when planning events or sales or whatever).

Thanks for that reply.

One more query is related to keywords search in Keyword planner. Why is it that the region specific keywords doesn't show up when typed and looked for?

For e.g: best shoes in USA or online shopping in USA

When i type in the above and click search, then the region based keywords never shows. Means in search only related terms do come up but not the regions.
I have set the location to USA though.

Any reasons or findings behind this scenario?

Thanks

In the Google KW Planner, doing as you described, it shows up for me, if you dig deep enough.

Perhaps you're sorting by volume, or your tripping on a brand name (Best Shoes) that clouds the results. They show you keyword ideas, so if very few people in the USA type in 'best shoes in USA', they're unlikely to suggest it.

Thanks.

The same I also thought coz may be people searching the related term with region like "mobile shops in USA" might not be searched by people on Google. But thing is its a widely related term searched with huge search results showing on Google search.

So region specific keywords for this term does have search volume across using region term as well.

Its normal for people to search with region associated to any keywords while searching. Still trying to know how to counter that or look for it on planner.

This should help, on the control end:
[support.google.com...]

If someone outside your area is looking, they often indicate region, but you might not deliver there, or want to advertise there. If you sell in USA, advertise to people in the USA, and someone in Pakistan types in 'buy acme rockets in the USA", you may want to choose "People in your targeted location".
