Hi,

I realise this might sound like a bit of a newbie question but it has been the source of much debate in the office and i'm looking for a definite answer.

Does using Adwords affect your ranking on google or for that matter any other search engine?

Cheers,

It has been said that adwords DOES NOT affect your rankings. Through my own personal experiences, I guess I would have to agree in some respects.

I have seen changes and thought they could have been related but then again they could have just been coincidental. There have been a few people who have put it to the test and seem to say it does not affect.

A separate spider bot, along with adsense. I am sure someone else can give you a definite...or close enough to it.

No, it doesn't. That's the official (and unofficial) answer from Google. And it's been born out by testing. 100% different.
