Hi,

The adgroup panel look like this :

Search Total ABC
Content Total Y
Keyword1 A
Keyword2 B
Keyword3 C

These keyword values sum up the total in "Search Total", right?
BTW, shouldn't be in the other order? I mean, Put Content Total on top, then, the Search Total with its keywords?

Well, now how do I know which keywords triggered the content ads?
Can't I know?
Also, since the content ads delivery are not affected manually by our keywords suggestion, shouldn't they affect the CTR to put an ad on trial or hold, right?

Yes, they include the Google & its partners' searches

You can make a suggestion to Google.

Generally, you don't know. It's possible more than one keyword triggered the content ads.

You're correct. It's not only the results from content but also from partners search don't affect the keyword status (on trial, on hold or disable).

FromRocky is essentially correct, but I wanted to go a little farther:

Ads are not delivered to content partner sites on the basis of individual keywords. Rather, all of the keywords in an Ad Group are looked at together, as a group, and the ad is placed on content sites on the basis of that overview.

So, for the most effective targeting to content sites, it's clearly to the advertisers advantage to make sure that all of the keywords in an Ad Group are about the same thing, which, of course, should also be the subject of the ad copy.

This same principle absolutely applies to ads for search sites too, IMO. It is probably one of the single most important optimization tips one could apply, in most cases.

If you put a {keyword} tag in the destination url of your ads, it will insert a keyword, even on content ads. That being said, I'd still trust AWA's info on the matter! ; )
