CTR dropping

Hey everyone,

The last couple of days my CTR has fallen quite a bit. No idea why. There aren't any new competing ads. My CTR is now hovering on some ad groups at 1% which are usually upwards of 6%.

I read the article that was posted recently about people using 'bots' to rack up impressions and lower a competitors CTR so their ad gets disabled.

Yesterday for one particular ad group there were 2,199 impressions, a little higher than usual.

Today for the same ad group, already (mid-afternoon) there are 4,900. Way higher, as through the week there are usually only about 1500 impressions.

Another ad group - Daily average, about 3500 impressions. Yesterday, 6100, and today already nearly 14,000.

Anyone know any reason for this happening, or am I somehow under attack? Has anyone experienced this before?

The keyword I'm bidding on is a very competitive keyword but there are only a few people advertising for it (because it's in a different language).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Should I report this to Google?

Also please note that other keywords or variations of this specific keyword haven't really changed in impressions.

Actual clicks remain the same (about 250-300 per day), just the impressions are what drive down CTR.

Nobody else is experiencing this, or has had a similar experience before?

Surely someone has seen something similar?

I've emailed AdWords support and no response today, though it is Monday so I probably won't get one until later this week.
