Hi,

Associate links are allowed in Google adwords, I read in this forum.

However, I did this and Google send this email:

At this time, Google policy does not permit the
advertisement of websites that contain "replica designer goods".

Why? The Google Policy are changed?

Thanks

It's less an issue with Amazon, it's that your keywords seem to be on Google's list of "unallowed keywords" along with beer, gambling, hard liquor, etc.

Tim:

Is the product you're offering on Amazon offered by Amazon itself, a reputable third party (i.e. Circuit City, Target, etc.), or an unknown third party (ZShops, auctions, some store you've never heard of)?

If it's offered by Amazon itself or by a known third party (it'll say who/where it's shipping from after the "usually ships in suchandsuch days from thepeoplewhoshipit"), I'd send an email back to Google explaining that it is most likely not a "replica item."

If you're promoting a product that's likely a forgery (good examples would be high-end watches, certain brands of expensive sunglasses, or pretty much anything else you'd expect to buy off a guy on the street corner), ESPECIALLY if it's from a non-reputable third party, you may want to look at something else, as Google is probably right. Since I don't know the concrete details, I'll leave that decision up to you.

Also, as a separate note, due to the change in affiliate rules, you may want to look into starting a website to promote amazon goods. Right now, only one advertisement is allowed per domain per keyword, so if somone has an amazon ad that performs better than yours on a particular keyword, your ad will not show. Putting up a website, while somewhat expensive, allows you to send people to your own site without having to worry about getting bumped out by another advertiser.
