On Jan 19 I had a bunch of impressions and the best day of sales. Since then they have been slowing my account but not showing me which words weren't performing(sent a few nasty emails). Then they started putting KW "on hold", "In trial" or "disabling" with 20 or less impressions. Can they target your account manually and slow your impressions down? If anyone can help me it would be appreciated. Or any other ideas to get advertising for my affiliate products.

Much Thanx,

Gil Cole

Maybe you should not have sent a nasty email. I always send candy first.

I sent several candy kinds first pleading for help. Finally after about the sixth cut and paste canned ham answer I kinda snapped. I didn't cuss at them...yet.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, gilamonster!

On Jan 19 I had a bunch of impressions and the best day of sales. Since then they have been slowing my account but not showing me which words weren't performing(sent a few nasty emails).

This is due to server delays, and I agree it is annoying. I think you'll see this delay eliminated before too long.

Then they started putting KW "on hold", "In trial" or "disabling" with 20 or less impressions.

This means the servers have caught up, and you are being shown the problem keywords that caused the slowing.

Can they target your account manually and slow your impressions down?

No. There are no human beings involved in 'slowing', or applying keyword status.

I can assure you, no one is paying particular attention to your account. The 'they' you are referring to is an automated algo, looking at millions millions and millions of keywords, moment to moment. It is looking for a minimum CTR, as measured on Google alone.

...Finally after about the sixth cut and paste canned ham answer I kinda snapped...

Sorry if you find the responses frustrating. Please know there are a vast number of emails sent in every day. If each one received an entirely hand-formatted response, your answer would be a lot longer in coming.

But believe me, the response that you receive is not random. Instead, it is almost always customized to refer specifically to your account, by an actual person, and has a very high probability of including the actual (and correct) answer to your question. I say this, as one who has customized and sent those very emails myself, to literally thousands of advertisers over the past two and a half years.

So, they are worth reading carefully, at least in my opinion. And if your answer is not clear enough, then reply to the actual email, and be specific about what information you need. This will send it back to the very same person who initially answered your question.

Many people like gilamonster are upset of the slowed account.

I was in this role in the begening of the December, as described here:

We know that slowing acconts is not just newbies problem.

IT IS A REAL BUG and Google should do something with that.

AWA what do you think?

Thank you much AWA that is nice to hear that it is not just me and that there is some other problems. It would be nice if those answering the emails made us aware of slowing servers though! I will keep plugging away, I am not giving up yet. I see that there is money to be made here, now all I have to do is get the system working.

Thanx,

Gil
