My competitor is illegally advertising a product he shouldn't be

Hi,

I'm hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction as i have a competitor that is illegally re-distributing data (very expensive data) - that he is not allowed to be doing.
It is being advertised by Google Adwords and is damaging my site and others who compete with him.

Is there a department in Google i can make a complaint to?

No. Google does not want to adjudicate commercial disputes. That's what the court system is for.

Unless you own the data and they're using your trademark in ad text, you'll have to look elsewhere for a solution.

i concur with BakedJake.

I'd add that if they are representing themselves as someone they're not, if it's a case of counterfeiting, G will (like trademarks) accept your input.

the obvious thing to do, is go to the company who own the rights to the data and tell them what he is doing.
