This may be interesting - and If this has been discussed in the past then someone [like ewhisper] please post the old links:

Google is serving me a ton of content clicks. I am actually converting very well from these clicks!

I have yet to track the main source of the clicks but I do know that my position for content (approx 2.5) helps..

I want to keep this traffic coming after the new google changes take place. The problem is that the adgroup contains over 30 keywords and I am in approx 2.5 position for all of them.. many of them are phrase match,

Some of the keywords have a CPC set at $1.0 and other are at approx .35cents..I am only getting a few clicks for these actual keywords so its not too expensive... even though I cant profit on .35 or a 1.0

..BUT the content clicks are on fire at only 10cents a click.

..am I risking a lot by jacking up the keywords in the campaign to $2.0 in effort to take over first position and keep my .10cent content clicks?

..why is google serving me content clicks for 10 cents and charging me nearly a $1.0 for the keywords in the campaign?

..usually I am paying at least 75% of the actual keyword CPC on the content sites.

COmments? suggestions?

Mega,

Comments:

1. So it seems the content option is working well for you.

2. The content sites in your case are under-utilized. I beleive the content sites will be more competetition once the new AdWords TSO is in effective, your CPC in the content sites will go up.

Suggestion:
To keep the content option at the current and bump up the search sides, you can create a new ad-group for search only with higher CPC for each keyword or search term.
