I just got an email asking me to join in a competition they are running to help me with my Adwords campaign.

They offer to help me with some emails etc and at the end of 4 weeks if I complete certain tasks I go into the draw to win an Android phone or a trip to Australia (I am in New Zealand).

I have joined up as I want to use it as a way of letting them know that Adwords are just too dear and don't work for me.

As I have said on here before, there is no way I, or probably most small business, can justify the ROI on an add that you have to bid say $50 cents.

Most businesses would need quite a few hits to get a sale.

I think Google are starting to feel a bit of heat.

I'm actually getting better ROI from facebook ads this month that Adwords. I know...it sounds bizarre. They are pricing themselves out of business slowly but surely.

"They are pricing themselves out of business slowly but surely."
in an auction, the "they" is us...

many big brands aren't roi centric in their ppc... like going to an art auction with rich people who love to collect art, the guy looking to flip some art is on a different cost model, so must restrain themself from getting caught up in the action of dif-motivated others.

still, theoretically, the importance of G's quality scoring can give you an advantage up against "branders" (versus more price conscious roi "sellers").
