Sometime in the near distant past we had a way to "sweep" all the negative keywords from an adgroup level and move them to the campaign level.

This was a neat feature - it seems to be no longer available.

Is there a way to do this today? I can't find the "clean sweep" feature either in the AdWords Editor nor in the actual AdWords interface.

ok, so I see there is a crude way to do it with the editor - are there yet utilities that can do this - or a way to automate repeat tasks with the aeditor?

it used to be so elegant!

I don't even remember that feature, don't think I ever noticed it. When I want to copy and paste, I just ctrl-c (or ctrl-x for cut) and ctrl-v to paste.

in the tradition of google spidering, it would spider the account and allow anything at adgroup level to be moved - automatically - to campaign level if you wanted it to go there.

anyway, control c / v etc works just as well but it requires some doing for this account that I'm working on that has HUNDREDS of adgroups.

take care,

PS - as an aside, tangent, random comment, thoughtlink, whathaveyou: I've been having fun with Picassa and it has a very sophisticated face recognition program built in that - as you might guess - spiders through all my photos and manually and then automatically recognizes faces.

Astoundingly good - and rather scary for those who don't want Google knowing such things!

What will they come up with next?

Edit Campaign Negative Keywords

It's under Opportunities - Clean Sweep.

Still, editor may be equal or better. Once in, you select the account on the left hand side. Then in the right window you select Negatives tab. That will show all negative keywords on both campaign and ad group level, nicely sorted. From there, you can do whatever you want.

If you're looking for duplicate keywords, Editor still rocks:

Tools > Find Duplicate Keywords. Select whole account and once you get your results, select Negatives tab.
